Rice pudding with rice drink

Rice pudding is a recipe that is prepared in many countries. There are many versions, but the classic version is cooked with only three ingredients: milk, rice and sugar. There are variants of this model that use condensed milk, water or butter. We, of course, use our delicious rice drink.

Ingredients:

  • 1 litre of Natur All rice drink
  • 200 gr. of round rice
  • 100 gr. of sugar
  • The peel of ½ lemon
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 vanilla pod

Elaboration:

  1. Wash the rice to remove the starch. We will wash it under the tap until the water comes out clear.
  2. Pour the rice drink into a saucepan, add the rice, the cinnamon stick, the lemon peel and the open vanilla pod. Cook on low-medium heat for about 40-45 minutes.
  3. After this time, if we see that the rice is already beginning to have a mellow texture, we add the sugar (otherwise, we will let the rice cook a little more) and we leave it on the fire for 10 more minutes, or whatever time is necessary until it reduces almost all the remaining liquid.
  4. Once the vegan rice pudding is ready, remove the cinnamon stick, the lemon peel and the vanilla pod. Serve hot or cold with some cinnamon powder.
