The plastic tide caused by COVID-19 is also a danger to the economy and nature

Not only masks and gloves, but plastic food packaging and other home-based products are flooding streets, landfills and oceans during the pandemic, which costs national economies millions of dollars and poses a serious threat to ecosystems. The UN trade conference says cooperation among countries and the development of common policies are needed to stop this problem that already existed but has been exacerbated by the emergency.
